A/C Maintenance Checklist To Keep You Cool This Summer
Nothing in this world can compare to a Louisiana summer in the month of August. The heat captures your attention the moment you open the door and immediately you are ready to get back to the cool comfort of your home. Because we are slowly getting back to normal and spending less time at home and more time on the go, it is common to neglect certain areas of our lives. We tend to forget about the small, but important details that can make a difference in how well our A/C performs until it’s too late.
Here are some good habits to integrate into your home to ensure your A/C continues to function properly.
Indoor and Outdoor Checklist
When it comes to indoor maintenance here are some things to look out for:
- Unusual sounds when starting system
- Unusual odors when starting system
- Any leaks within the ductwork

- Making sure air filters are replaced or cleaned regularly
For outdoor maintenance here’s what to look out for:
- Debris that may be blocking the main cabinet
- Check for any leaks or holes within the system
- Wires that may be damaged or exposed

At Three Rivers Services, we recommend preventative care. Getting one of our Trane technicians out to do annual maintenance on your A/C unit can SAVE you TIME and MONEY. If after conducting a bit of minor maintenance you find any issues we will gladly send out one of our Trane technicians to take a look at your unit. Even if you don’t find any issues, we still recommend doing an annual maintenance appointment to catch the issues that aren’t completely obvious.
